How Standard discounts work

• Setup: Standard discounts are created and managed in your qoda.ly account settings. During setup, you define:
  • Name: a descriptive name for the discount (e.g., “Happy Hour Special”).
  • Type and amount: either a fixed amount (e.g., $5 off) or a percentage (e.g., 15% off).
  • Target: determine if the discount applies to the entire bill, specific items, or items within a Sales Category.
  • Discount code (Optional): create a code customers can enter during online ordering to apply the discount.
• Application: when a Standard discount is applied to a Bill, qoda.ly automatically calculates and reduces the total amount due.
